OCTOBER 2009
 

During October 2009 four local schools took part. Here are some of the student participants’ responses to the question

“WHAT DO YOU THINK WAS THE AIM OF THIS SESSION?”
 

·          To bring people from different “faiths/traditions” together so that they could understand more about each other

·          To integrate pupils and explore beliefs

·          To make us aware of the different faiths

·          To make us aware of the different views on faith

·          Find out other’s views on faith and beliefs

·          To get to know other people and share our thoughts

·          To come together and share our views about God

·          To learn about the different beliefs, cultures, etc.

·          To learn about different beliefs

·          Conference on all different religions, showing similarities and differences in different areas

·          Integration and acceptance

·          To talk about beliefs and God

·          To show different beliefs *

·          To let all young people know we’re equal no matter what

·          To help us understand other religious beliefs

·          Show how different religions have some same beliefs

·          To promote the importance of faith and appreciation of different beliefs

·          To discuss different aspects of faith, different types of religious and the beliefs within the religions

·          To promote and explain the different faiths in Northern Ireland

·          To open our minds and make us more accepting
