OCTOBER 2009

During October 2009 four local schools took part. Here are some of the student participants’ responses to the question

“WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT MESSAGE YOU GOT FROM THIS SESSION?”

·          We all have different ways of experiencing/understanding our faith but all centre on a power greater than us

·          Beliefs depend on the individual

·          That people view God and understand his/her messages differently

·          Although everyone had different views, many were the same

·          People believe in different things

·          Different people have different beliefs from other people, but we should accept their beliefs

·          That everyone has different beliefs and opinions

·          So we know that there are many other beliefs and faiths in the world

·          That we all believe in some type of God, but we all also have different beliefs

·          Don’t judge any other person by their faith or beliefs

·          Every has their own perception of their faith

·          There is different beliefs no matter where you are

·          Everyone is equal

·          We need to respect other people’s religions

·          That a lot of faiths are a lot more similar than we thought

·          To keep faith in something you believe in

·          To take in different faiths

·          To believe what you want to believe in

·          There are a lot of religions and different beliefs

·          It’s ok to express your beliefs

·          Respect for all who seek truth and understanding

·          There is a number of faiths and beliefs within Northern Ireland and elsewhere

·          Faith is important
